Where are the jobs
What constitutes work? Producing the goods and services needed to enjoy a safe, secure, healthy life style is the basis of a good economy. In addition, we need good infrastructure to support these activities. Also, to continue to reduce the unnecessary labor to sustain life and increase our enjoyment of life, we need to invest in research and education. All of these activities generate jobs.
People in jails should be attending education while incarcerated. Education should be a life time endeavor. Raising and teaching children is an important source of jobs. We can greatly increase the amount of research funded by government in addition to that funded by business.
Once, we focus on generating meaningful jobs, there will be no end of good ideas.
