About Democracy
Congress needs to show leadership in how a democracy should work.
The real take away from our experiences in the Middle East is:
The US needs to lead by example and learn to compromise on issues and quit voting along party lines in Congress. The middle road is actually a better way to travel rather than either side of the political road. The are only two parties; but many issues. Let's handle each issue on its own merits. In Congress laws should be passed by majority vote without regard to party preferences. The voters will over time correct errors in judgement by the winning party.
