Minimum Wage
Q. Should there be a minimum wage?
A. Yes, there should be a minimum wage to set a floor for wages.
The proper way to set the minimum wage is to establish jobs of last resort which will pay a minimum wage. Whenever some one is not able to find a job on their own, a placement company will try to find a job for the individual which matches their abilities and skill level. If such a job can not be found within one week, a temporary job will be created to provide employment and will pay at least the minimum wage. This wage should be one half the amount to be at the poverty line for the community in which the person lives.
